There is something special about celebrating a milestone with the people you love most. Recently, I had the chance to photograph the Cox family and their three kids during a beautiful family session in Maysville, Kentucky.

This session was all about celebrating their youngest turning one. To make it even more fun, they chose a golf theme. We spent time at a local park in Maysville, letting the kids run, laugh, and just be themselves while we captured a mix of playful and classic family moments.

The weather was on our side, and the park gave us plenty of great spots to work with. It was the perfect backdrop for a relaxed session. We captured a little bit of everything: individual shots of the kids, sweet moments with mom and dad, and of course some fun golf-themed birthday pictures for their one-year-old.

Sessions like this are a reminder that the best family photos come when everyone is just having fun together. It is not about forcing perfect poses. It is about capturing real moments and genuine smiles that will mean even more as the years go by.
